St Benedicts Long Term Care Community currently has part-time and full-time openings. Many shifts and schedules are available. Shifts include day, evening, or overnights and include working every other or every third weekend.

Current Offerings:

• **$1,500 sign-on bonus
• Benefits included pay rate minimum: $ 16.73
• *In lieu of our employee benefits and sign-on bonus, this position can earn a flat rate of $31/hour for a temporary up to 12 months position

As a Nursing Assistant (CNA) at St Benedicts Long Term Care Community, you’ll find your purpose by bringing comfort and healing to our patients and residents.

Being a Nursing Assistant requires a kind heart, caring hands, and the ability to balance assertiveness with understanding. Some of the people we help have cognitive and physical impairments and they rely on us. You’ll learn to prioritize and develop an incredible depth of knowledge. It’s not easy but it is rewarding- and the longer you do it, the better you’ll get.

Here are some ways you’ll serve those we care for:

• Interact with them to promote comfort, and express compassion and empathy
• Critical monitoring, like measuring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration – so we can better assess their health
• Transport them to appointments and meals
• Walking – It’s one of the most important things we can do for them- and you get to help them do it safely
• Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) – these are things we often take for granted that patients may be unable to, or need help doing themselves
  • ADLs include bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, feeding, and more

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Nursing Assistant Certified listed on the MN State Nursing Assistant Registry
  • *if you are not currently certified, we offer paid training, you can still apply here!
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, can be obtained once hired

**Sign-on bonus requirements : To be eligible for the sign-on bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous CentraCare/Carris employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

*Accelerated rate requirements : To be eligible for the accelerated rate you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible position. By accepting the accelerated rate, you will forego benefits, including paid time off, medical, and dental insurance, retirement and more. This is a temporary rate and position that will last for 12 months or less. Previous CentraCare/Carris employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire. The accelerated rate can not be combined with other pay programs to include sign-on bonuses.
