TA 125: Global Theatre Histories II

The Theatre Program at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2022 to teach Global Theatre Histories II (TA125). Global Theatre Histories II is a continuation of Global Histories I and will explore contemporary theatre practice and practitioners in Asia, African, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. Candidates should be a theatre scholar/artist who is experienced in working with diverse student populations.

Minimum qualifications:

• MA in Dramatic Art/Literature, Performance Studies, Theatre, or a closely related field
• Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD or MFA in Dramatic Art/Literature, Performance Studies, Theatre, or a closely related field
• A specialty in African, Asian, Indigenous American, African American, Asian American, or LatinX theatre.
• Experience teaching in higher education
• Preference will be given to applicants with a Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience
