Butler Aerospace & Defense Looking for CFD Engineer at Remote Full Time

Min years of experience: Prefer 1 year experience, recent graduate ok

Degree Requirements: Bachelors in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent work experience

Detailed Job Description:

Performs thermal and fluid flow analyses of rotorcraft sub-systems such as: gas turbine engine inlets, exhausts, engine compartment cooling, fuel systems, avionics installations, pneumatic systems, and environmental control systems. Uses state of the art analysis software ranging in fidelity from 1D fluid network software to 3D Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Tools. Support preliminary and detailed analytical design activities, interface with a cross-functional group of propulsion, electrical, avionics, and airframe engineers.

Qualifications include:

• Proficient and knowledgeable in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and computational techniques.
• Strong interest in performing engineering analysis and support design and test in development of rotorcraft aircraft.
• Proficiency in STARCCM+, JAVA, and Python preferred
• Experience with CATIA V5 a plus

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
