Responsibilities
The Medical Family Practice unit is a 44-bed medical services unit, a great place to develop the building foundation of any nursing career by learning systems pathophysiology.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:
Current Texas RN license -or- eligible for issue of a Texas Graduate Nurse Permit
CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous nurse tech or staff nursing experience
Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
Organized, self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills
Able to work in a fast-paced medical services unit
Computer skills necessary; EMR EPIC documentation
Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions
Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Compassionate customer service skills
Committed to patient and family satisfaction
