WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Online Personalization squad (OP) squad at BCG is seeking a candidate for a Web Application Solution Architect role to be an integral part of our agile team. The incumbent for this role will help architect and implement technical solutions across the full suite of BCG’s marketing systems – targeting both internal and external audiences. The candidate must be open minded and interested in continuous learning, while being curious and unafraid to ask questions. He/she must be willing to innovate and initiate change, discover innovative solutions and present new ideas. He/she must work well in a global team environment and collaborate well with peers and stakeholders.

Among your responsibilities, you will:
- Oversee the technical development for Web Development squads overarching technical capabilities (e.g., notifications/alerts, security, shared design system, CICD, etc.)
- Aligning solutions are validated by security and other best practices by the COE
- Help troubleshoot BCG.com technical issues, work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues, and help drive technical support process standardization across teams
- Participate in ongoing architectural and best practices conversations with the Web Development architectural teams
- Create and maintain Web Development related technical architecture and reference documentation (as needed)

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- 7+ years of overall Web systems experience
- Experience with Content Management Systems and experience preferred but not required with CRM systems (e.g. MS Dynamics), DAM systems, Web Analytics, Data Warehouses.
- 5+ years of software development experience with expert knowledge in at least 1 programming language/framework (e.g. C#/.Net Core, Java, Python, React.js/JavaScript, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of system design and non-functional requirement concepts (e.g. System security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of API concepts and platforms (e.g. 1 or more of REST, GraphQL, API Gateways, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of microservices design and event driven architecture (e.g. 1 or more of Lambda, Azure Function, ECS, EKS etc)
- Excellent knowledge of Agile concepts and DevSecOps tooling (e.g. 1 or more of Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub, GitHub Actions and Jira Boards)
- Solid understanding of cloud native solutions in Azure or AWS (e.g. Azure Logic Apps/Web Apps, AWS Lamda/MQ/etc.)
- Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools (AppInsights, Datadog, etc.)
- Proven ability to work with stakeholder and development teams to design and deliver technical solutions.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English and related interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of the software development life-cycle and agile methodologies
- Desire to learn and adapt to new tools, use cases, and challenges
- Ability to think outside the box and suggest support process & tool improvements where necessary
- Strong technical acumen to identify process improvements and technical solutions
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries
- BS or higher, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Support technology or similar
YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be work closely with both the Online Personalization Squad and the CMS and Digital Enablement squads, teams passionate about fostering engagement and interactions of visitors from different sectors and audiences with BCG.com. The Web Application Solution Architect position is responsible for collaborating with other squads, Global Marketing, other IT teams and external vendors.
