Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Lead Product Security Analyst to join our Puget Sound Product Security Engineering team.

The successful candidate leads the integration of security and resiliency into products and services throughout the lifecycle of the product/service to meet all applicable certifications and customer requirements. Leads the research, collection, interpretation, test, and analysis of technical data for system-level product security concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle. Performs complex product security risk/attack surface/vulnerability analyses and security audits of applications and application stacks of various provenances. Leads the analysis, triage, aggregation, escalation, and reporting of relevant product security and anti-tamper data and other information sources for attack indicators and potential security breaches. Leads incident coordination. Correlates and performs complex trend analysis. Analyzes malware and attacker tactics to improve detection capabilities. Prepares and presents technical reports and briefings to senior management.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work on Advanced Security Features development of new concepts and technology that apply to commercial aviation products (including machine learning, deep learning & artificial intelligence).

• Assess risks, threats and vulnerabilities of the product assets and production systems in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

• Develop security requirements and coordinate with different systems stakeholders.

• Perform requirements verification on system security engineering products using inspection, analysis, demonstration, and test methods.

• Coordinate with security testers to validate coverage and impacts to analysis.

• Support airplane certification through coordination with FAA and Engineering Unit Members

• Provide technical data and develop documentation in accordance with requirements and system security engineering processes and procedures for internal reference and external delivery.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Technical Bachelor’s, Master’s or a PhD degree? (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematics, scientific or information technology field of study)

• 7+ years of work experience in cyber security concepts, techniques and/or related engineering disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

• Experience or coursework in cybersecurity, security network architecture, embedded systems security, security testing and evaluation, network design, and PKI infrastructure.

• Experience with research and development of cybersecurity system requirements and cybersecurity system requirements standards

• Experience assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cybersecurity compliance

• Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Technical Bachelor’s degree) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).

A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematics, scientific or information technology field of study.
