Position Summary:

The Telehealth Care Coordinator (TCC) manages the day-to-day functioning of the tele-neurohospitalist program. This critical role facilitates the efficient scheduling, coordination, and completion of tele-neurohospitalist consultations. The TCC will be in daily communication with neurologists, advanced practice providers, and hospital-based nurses to reduce wait times for all parties and ensure efficient workflows for patient care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
• Registered or certified medical assistant preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Prior experience in telemedicine preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with providers and clients via phone.

• Ability to relate well with co-workers and physicians.
• Daily phone communication with multiple hospitals to schedule and coordinate telehealth rounds for physicians and APPs.
• Ensure daily patient lists for providers are complete and accurate.
• Maintain efficient patient flow for neurologists and APPs via telehealth platform.
• Prep charts in BSL for physicians.
• Complete discharge phone calls with patients.
• Scan/fax patient documents as needed.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for reporting and analyzing quality metrics.
• Other administrative duties and support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our highly skilled, fellowship-trained physicians help to fill the physician gap in a wide range of situations for our clients:

• Rural or low-volume clinics and hospitals – in places where a highly specialized stroke neurologist may not be needed at all times, we step in when needed to decrease transfers, keeping patients in your facility and community
• Supplementing onsite providers – having support of additional neurologists means that onsite physicians don’t have to be on call 24/7, giving them a break and preventing burnout
• Full-time support – our physicians can fully staff small and large facilities for all their stroke care and inpatient neurology needs on a temporary or long-term basis, often offering lower rates than locum tenens physicians

Pay: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
