– Schedule & coordinate in-town pickups for local breweries and distilleries
– Quote and arrange FTL & LTL shipments
– Follow up on confirmed purchase orders with suppliers
– Monitor open purchase orders – confirm ship dates when necessary
– Backup for scheduling delivery appointments
– File & follow up on freight claims
– Check receiving reports against supplier bills of lading
– Confirm QPC’s, vintages, & that receiving match BOL
– Follow up with warehouse and purchasing on discrepancies
– Check invoices against receiving. Confirm pricing and communicate discrepancies with purchasing.
– Plan & communicate holiday schedule changes for Chain Grocery Stores
– Track orders & Communicate ETAs with sales team
– Maintain product specs in product file
– Shop carriers to ensure we are getting best rates possible
– Backup for purchasing department
– Send new orders to carriers
– Maintain supplier shipping information on supplier file
– Check tracking reports from carriers. Follow up on past due loads
– Supply receiving department with load manifests from carriers
