The IT Operations team is defined by one main theme – ‘Operational Excellence’ – with the goal of providing high-level support to the many technical systems that BDO professionals rely upon to meet their client obligations. The teams within IT Operations ensure that physical and virtual computers across the firm are efficient and secure, that software is delivered and updated, and that all systems that store and secure firm and client data are maintained and available – while protecting these services and processes with a strong and standard framework. Together, the professionals and engineers on the IT Operations team provide BDO with the technical foundation necessary to be Best in Class.
The Desktop Engineering Manager is responsible for creating and ensuring a standardized and secure PC computing environment at BDO. The Desktop Engineering Manager oversees a group of Desktop and Software Engineers. This role is also responsible for evaluating the business needs of the firm and developing technical solutions for the standard BDO PC environment that addresses those needs. In this role, the Desktop Engineering Manager will work with other IT department leaders to provide feedback and input on large IT projects as part of cross-departmental or project-based teams. This role is responsible for the technical architecture and efficient operation of the Windows based PC environment, desktop automation tools and management technologies. Additionally, this role ensures a secure PC environment through best practices in development and the effective implementation of desktop security solutions and policies.
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
California Locations: $95,000 – $105,000
Washington Locations: $95,000 – $105,000
