About this role:
The Financial Literacy Instructor position will assist in conducting the BCAUSEICANTRADE classes which focus on the introduction of concepts and terminology of the Stock Market. The students will learn how to Day Trade after completion of the classes. Duties involve assisting in installing trading software and assisting students in understanding the Stock Market and the value of generating wealth.
The class will be taught by our lead instructor virtually while the assistant will be in person, helping students stay on track and ensuring equipment is set up and working. This position will also assist in our Financial Workshop development and curriculum.
The classes will be on Wednesdays from 3-4 pm beginning June 29. The duration of this class is (6) weeks.

Based on school guidelines, in-person instructors must be vaccinated.
Experience:
One year of experience in teaching students K-12 is desired. Must be able to get to the class reliably and a few minutes early in order to set up equipment and prepare the class.
Skills:
Ability to assist in an in-person class with a virtual teacher.
Understanding of financial wellness and Stock Market basics.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finances, business, or stock trading- graduates or current undergraduates welcome.
Applicants should have the willingness to teach children with patience and positivity.
Your Availability:
The classes teach the concepts, terminology, and basic skills of financial literacy and stock trading. The classes will be on Wednesdays from 3-4 pm beginning June 29. The duration of this class is (6) weeks. We ask the instructor chosen for this position to commit to making all 6 classes. You will be paid for arriving 15 minutes early and 15 minutes after class. We’re also looking for an applicant that can work on the curriculum for this class, generally self-scheduled with occasional team meetings.
The majority of classes are from 2:30 to 3:30 pm EST one day per week Monday-Friday for 16 weeks. There will be multiple classes per week, so there is an opportunity to work multiple days a week if desired, but the minimum requirement is 1 day per week for 6 weeks.
This role may require you to be available for a minimum of 1.5 hours up to 3 to 5 hours per week. Because of the nature of this job background verification is mandatory. In-person instructors must be vaccinated.
