BAE Systems Looking for Human Resources Business Partner Senior at Fort Walton Beach, FL Full Time

BAE Systems is currently seeking a HR Business Partner Senior Principal in support of assigned customers in the Intelligence & Security Sector to provide support in the development, coordination and execution of HR programs and processes.

Position Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) Senior Principal serves as consultant/partner to both the senior leaders and management teams for assigned business groups and Sector and Corporate entities on Human Resources related matters, with the goal of aligning best HR practices to business strategies. The HRBP Senior Principal will collaborate with Shared Services/Center of Excellence Departments to deliver solutions that address assigned area(s) needs. He/She will also collaborate with the other HRBPs on HR projects and initiatives as required.

The HRBP will:

• Implement Human Resources policies as a consultant, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues
• Act as resource to employees when needed providing guidance on and interpreting company policy as well as assuring that employee perspectives are heard and considered.
• Support the mitigation of human capital related business risks and compliance activities
• Work closely with management to provide proactive coaching, and partner with assigned managers to create a culture that supports business growth or business rightsizing by improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity and retention.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed, then manage, recommend and implement remedies on mid-level to complex employee relations issues working closely with the Manager and legal as appropriate.
• Manage, recommend and implement remedies on Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) for union workforce to include negotiating CBAs with the union.
• Provide guidance and recommend solutions on Service Contract Act (SCA) contracts.
• Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for the following areas: succession planning, talent management, employment, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, benefits, EEO, and training and development
• Collaborate with the Shared Services and the Centers of Expertise (COEs) on all elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world class HR services and programs to address critical business needs and employ effective measures of success
• Engage with Shared Services/COEs teams (Compensation, Benefits, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Compliance) to execute business strategies through tactical operations.
• Act as a change agent for key HR and business changes and provide project management for assigned key HR projects
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and HR compliance.
• Pro-actively identify and assess potential legal risks and act to ensure compliance. Partner with Legal and Ethics Departments as needed.
• Act as point-of-contact for guidance on compensation actions, including individual promotions, equity adjustments and related actions. Identify business case for position or job group compensation changes, and incentive compensation changes.
• Support business activities that support a culture that is diverse and inclusive
• Track and analyze metrics on employee actions, terminations, and voluntary attrition to recommend actions as needed.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related discipline with 8 years of HR Business Partner experience

• Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of Union Collective Bargaining (CBA) Agreements, to include experience in Union Avoidance.
• Demonstrated experience in managing employees under Service Contract Act (SCA) contracts.
• Demonstrated experience in providing hands-on HR support for a dispersed employee population
• Demonstrated strong employee relations experience Candidates must demonstrate an ability to exercise tact and diplomacy and the ability to communicate persuasively and to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of responsibilities.
• The successful candidate must be comfortable working with all levels of employees including vice presidents, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and possess a sense of urgency to close on actions
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required)
