Avion Solutions, Inc. Looking for Rotor Blade Engineer at Corpus Christi, TX Full Time

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee owned company, is seeking candidates for a Rotor Blade Engineer to support the Army’s Maintenance Engineering Division. This position is based in Corpus Christi, TX.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Act as liaison engineer to Corpus Christi Army Depot’s (CCAD) blade repair shop.
• Support blade Maintenance & Overhaul (M&O) engineering technical data for military rotary wing systems.
• Perform stress analysis and substantiation for aircraft structures and composite materials, providing engineering support and coordination as necessary with other organizations in the development and/or substantiation of depot and field level maintenance procedures, modifications and repairs.
• Perform analysis on defects for new and existing aircraft with respect to systems engineering issues and safety of flight in support of military aircraft systems.

Required Experience:

• BS or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 10 years combined relevant engineering experience.
• Must be a subject matter expert in aircraft composite repair.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
• Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Helicopter rotor blade design and repair experience.
• UH-60, AH-64 and/or CH-47 systems experience.
• Boeing and/or Sikorsky Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) experience.
• Previous military experience.
