Responsible for providing quality customer support for Clients and Taxpayers through phones, email, and correspondence, daily processing of payments, working delinquent accounts, and providing follow-up for Clients and Supervisors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Heavy data entry, payment processing, preparing deposits, working delinquent accounts, NSF payments, and invoices, processing correspondence, inbound/outbound telephone customer service, research, resolve, and record problems. Ability to complete tasks by deadline and with little supervision. Additional responsibilities are assigned as deemed necessary on a weekly/daily basis.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years in an office environment with heavy inbound/outbound phone experience. Heavy data entry. Minimum 3 years customer service experience. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Alabama, California, Louisiana, Georgia Business Tax requirements helpful.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to speak effectively with customers and employees. Ability to proofread correspondence, detect and correct errors, read, and interpret city/county tax ordinances. Ability to prepare routine correspondence and replies for signature with minimal guidance. Ability to perform basic math computations using online, desk top calculator, or creating calculations in spreadsheets. Ability to satisfactorily resolve routine situations based on supervisor’s guidance or written or verbal instructions. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required
