An esteemed community-based nonprofit aimed at servicing seniors and individuals with chronic care needs is seeking a temporary remote Claims Analyst. In this position, you will be tasked with reviewing, investigating, and adjusting patient claims alongside an interdisciplinary team of professionals Applicants must reside in New York City qualify for this opportunity and must be proficient in Microsoft Excel VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions.*
_*The base pay for this position is $20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.*_
*Responsibilities:*
* Reviews, investigates, and adjudicates claims
* Investigates, intervenes, communicates and follows-up orally or in writing
* Evaluates claims to ensure payments are for the services rendered
* Reviews suspended claims, to ensure appropriate HCPC codes, units and service dates match
* Analyzes member’s medical information and coordinates benefits with other carriers
* Monitors procedures and workflow and recommend changes to improve efficiencies
* Monitors and oversees the correct handling of claims appeals
* Review, examine and direct processing of claims appeals for all LOB
* Conducts monthly audits of Independent Living Systems
* Provides Quarterly and Monthly data for Part C Medicare Appeals
*Requirements:*
* High School Diploma or G.E.D.
* Proficiency in using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables on Microsoft Excel required
* Experience in healthcare preferred

Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
