Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department at Newton Medical Center.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Assist RN/MD in the Emergency Department.
- Assist with triage
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
- Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
- Hourly rounding
- Venipuncture, point of care testing
- Performing EKG’s
- Observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
- Application of Monitor/Tele pack
- Dressings, Splinting, Crutch walking
- Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care with a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
- Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or GED
Minimum Experience:
- Three months related nursing assistant experience and /or CNA training.
- BLS certification, or willing to obtain within ninety days of hire.
