Position Summary
Virtual Care Specialists are healthcare providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of injuries while ensuring our patients receive the utmost care and consideration. This position will connect with injured patients via asynchronous and synchronous virtual delivery, including, but not limited to, the telephone, a telehealth platform, or virtual environment to develop recommendations for the coordination of care.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide exceptional care to patients utilizing Athletico’s Virtual Free Assessment (VFA) services
Triage patient calls to determine best course of care for patient, and provide referrals to target referral sources and/or Athletico clinical locations for physical therapy, as appropriate.
Act as a concierge for patient/client throughout continuum of care to include ensuring prompt and timely scheduling and re-scheduling of physician and/or therapy services, coordination and completion of home exercise plans, ensuring high patient satisfaction with core services, troubleshooting payment and authorization issues with appropriate internal stakeholders, and any other customer service-related items to increase the likelihood of high quality clinical outcomes
Ensure patients are continually informed of Athletico services and locations
Answer patient questions about plan of care and compliance with home exercise programs
Consistently check and respond to communications from Athletico management
Complete accurate documentation of patient interactions in Athletico’s EMR system and ancillary software programs
Complete necessary paperwork as requested from Athletico management

Licensed Athletic Trainer
Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree from accredited CAATEinstitution
Must be NATA BOC Certified and state licensed
CPR Certified
