POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports a specific business line within Aleut Federal and will work with the finance and accounting teams to maintain the project accounting records for various projects within the business line. The project controls lead is responsible to monitoring the financial activities for all the projects within the business line.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Create project accounts in Costpoint
· Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
· Provide access to project accounts/charge codes
· Review vendor invoices related to the project
· Prepare project related accruals on a monthly basis
· Create and submit all project-related billings to customers
· Review project P&Ls on a monthly basis providing variance analysis to forecast and budget
· Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
EDUCATION/TRAINING
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
EXPERIENCE
· Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents
· Excellent communication and written skills
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project accounting
· Excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
· Strong time management, self-driven and organizational skills.
· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Strong knowledge of Costpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, databases and accounting software.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
