AREHNA Engineering has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Florida licensed Forensic Engineer with specialization in structural forensic investigations, system/component failure analysis, and litigation support. Candidate will be responsible for executing structural forensic investigations and failure cause analyses related to a broad spectrum of causation sources impacting residential and commercial structures.
Experience & Skills
Experience with forensic engineering projects focused on the determination of cause, origin, duration, and extent of damage to residential and commercial buildings from various causes including structural failure, building system and component failures, construction defects, code compliance deficiencies, wind/wave/hail effects, building envelope failures, construction/blasting vibration damage, water intrusion and leakage damage, moisture vapor intrusion, foundation settlements, and fire damage.
Responsibilities include onsite inspections and investigations, surveying and documenting onsite physical evidence and conditions (inclusive of photographic, thermal, and hand-sketch documentation), conducting historical weather, permit, construction, material property, code compliance, or other types of research as necessary to support analysis and opinions/conclusions, organizing and recording data, employing proper protocols for the preservation of gathered physical evidence, conducting a defendable failure analysis of probable cause, origin, extent, and duration of damage, presentation of findings and conclusions in written report, and ability to support conclusions/opinions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings.

We have offices located in Coral Springs and Tampa with project sites throughout South and Central Florida. This engineer may work remotely when not performing inspections on site. We are looking for an engineer who can manage inspections throughout our South Florida market.
