A position is available in the Engineering & Planning Department for an Engineer. A Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution and a minimum of two years related experience is required. An Engineer in Training Certification, or the ability to obtain one within one year, is required. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word and possess excellent verbal and writing skills. The Engineer reports to the Manager, Capital Delivery and is responsible for leadership and/or support roles in all aspects of water utility project management for Aquarion’s facilities in CT, MA and NH. This includes management of planning, design and construction projects such as: evaluation of the physical condition of mechanical, electrical, structural and control systems of existing facilities; identification and prioritization of system deficiencies; identification and evaluation of alternative solutions for system deficiencies; design and construction of water works infrastructure improvements; supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system design and implementation; and the local, state, and federal permitting requirements to execute projects.
Job is classified as an exempt position with an annual salary range of $88,080 to $132,120. An appropriate pay level will be determined for the successful applicant by using the midpoint $110,100 as the target for a seasoned employee in the position.
