Job description:

SUMMARY:

Operate CNC lathes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform operation of CNC lathes to fabricate parts. Load parts in the machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations and inform supervisor. Assure removal of chips in machine and perform oil changes as needed. Provide continual monitoring of quality by self-checking machined part dimensions. Supports manufacturing of product to meet company standards and specifications through performing duties in a professional manner within a cohesive team environment. Perform in a safe and productive manner in compliance with safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as required by supervisor or management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Basic math skills, good vision, natural or corrected, and excellent hand dexterity. Mechanically inclined preferred but not required. Ability to use micrometers, calibers, drop-dial indicators and pin gages. Ability to perform in a production environment with unusual conditions such as high volume of noise level continuous operation of machinery and equipment, oil mist, dust and temperature changes. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 10 Lbs and occasionally over that limit (request assistance if needed). Must be flexible in regards to overtime and week-end work schedules. Participate in cross-training efforts interacting with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
