What does a Logistics Performance Leader do?
The Logistics Performance Leader is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the execution of logistics operations on a global scale. This role focuses on driving efficiency, improving performance, and ensuring that logistics activities are executed in alignment with KPIs. The Logistics Performance Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement process improvements to enhance the overall logistics operation.

Position/Classification: Full-Time; Salaried exempt, Associate
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000
Hours of Work: Regular business hours, Monday-Friday

Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business, supply chain, economics, management information systems, computer information systems, or similar discipline
2+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation
Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations to executive stakeholders.
Experience or familiarity with supply chain systems and applications (ERP, TMS, and WMS)
Advanced or expert proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
Consulting experience with a focus in supply chain and logistics
Experience in the energy or aerospace & defense industry
Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS
Experience leading or participating in cost takeout initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Skills:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on logistics, data analysis, process improvement, and leadership
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Lean Six Sigma background preferred.
Experience with logistics operations and processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
Responsibilities:
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Corporate and senior management to ensure seamless coordination and execution of global control tower activities.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics like Overall execution, data integrity, adherence to compliance standards etc. Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance performance.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
Leadership: Act as a SME and provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure the team’s success.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all logistics activities comply with defined company and trade compliance regulations, and industry standards. Monitor and proactively address compliance issues.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in logistics operations and develop contingency plans- Global holiday coverage, resource planning etc.
Reporting: Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate logistics performance, key findings, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management. Implement innovative solutions to enhance logistics operations.and audit the KPIs of all global control towers.
Identify underperforming areas of each control tower.
Partner with global control tower leaders to develop and implement solutions to improve performance by year on year.
Analyze data and prepare reports on performance and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to control tower leaders and team members.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
