Accountant – Architecture Firm – Base Salary to 85k/year – Nassau County, NY

Our client is a design/build architecture firm that has been operating in the Long Island and New York City markets over 35 years. They specialize in a wide variety of commercial projects as well as large apartment complexes. In addition to design/build, they also handle rentals and property management on their own select units.

Requirements

In this role, the Accountant will handle day to day financial tasks using QuickBooks and Excel. They’re looking for highly organized and motivated team players with excellent follow up skills and the ability to multitask. Someone who can switch pace quickly and think on their feet would be ideal. Core duties include:

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Create invoices in QuickBooks
• Process AIA requests
• Maintain rent rolls
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, record daily transactions
• Prepare budgets for various construction projects
• Ensure all billable time and reimbursements are accurately recorded

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel is required
• 2+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a business-services environment
• Associates in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
• Able to prepare, review, and understand financial statements
• Highly organized and motivated team player

Compensation

• Base Salary in the 65k – 85k/year range
• Annual bonuses based on performance
