Wireline Engineering Technicians

• Primary Purpose: OSP/ISP Fiber design and layout using GIS, AutoCAD / Civil 3D – Client will train
• Project: Smart Grid Project for a Utility Company. Fiber to home or Fiber to Premise experience needed
• Client: Large Engineering and Construction Company
• Contract to Hire Positions!
• 100% Remote Positions – Client will send you a laptop and monitor to work on
• 8 open positions at different levels……
• Engineering Technician 5 – Pay is $42 per hour – 1 Open Position – 5 Years of Experience Needed
• Engineering Technician 4 – Pay is $36 per hour – 3 Open Positions – 3 Years of Experience Needed
• Engineering Technician 3 – Pay is $32 per hour – 2 Open Positions – 2 Years of Experience Needed
• Engineering Technician 2 – Pay is $28 per hour – 2 Open Positions – 1 Year of Experience Needed

Commercial & Connectivity is committed to using detailed design software alongside GIS based technology to execute the design and construction of fiber optic network projects.

This role will be responsible for assisting with the development of construction deliverables for Fiber/OSP wireline projects. Functions in a mid-level engineering technician capacity. Under general supervision, performs functions requiring intermediate knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in engineering and construction industry.
• Knowledge of Fiber/Wireline/OSP is a plus.
• Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Exposure to Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS a plus.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate preferred. Non-Technical: Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Perseverance, Patience, Time Management, Drive for Results, Self-Development, Customer Focus, Listening, Informing Technical: Understands and applies Computer Automation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
