Title of Position: Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt

Pay Range: $70,000 – $80,000/year, based on qualifications and experience.

Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects.

Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

Generate cash reports for the controller and senior management
Prepare monthly financial reports and ensure GAAP compliance across all reports
Assist the controller in creating and updating accounting processes, policies, and procedures
Accurately complete month end close processes for all company entities in a timely manner
Conduct inventory reconciliations
Maintain GL structure and have an understanding of all underlying transactions
Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts
Assist the Controller with yearly budgeting and forecasting
File and pay state and local taxes
Prepare tax and audit materials for external review
Update department policies and procedures as needed
Complete Ad Hoc reporting and Excel modeling

Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 Years Accounting Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Similar Concentration
Advanced understanding of GAAP
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
