Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc, a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a Software Development Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Functional, performance and integration testing of graphics applications and related software, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Responsible for testing and reporting of in-development and completed graphical applications, supporting utility software, supporting documentation and publication systems, and graphical developer tools, associated with graphics processing unit (GPU) devices. Drive specification and implementation of software quality assurance workflow management systems, reporting methodologies and integration with source code management systems. Drive top-level software quality assurance methodology in line with parallel software development engineering methodologies and practices. Show leadership on small to mid-size projects in collaboration with software engineering team leaders. Communicate the status of software quality assurance projects and related interdependencies to management and senior engineers in the technical staff.
