Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring a Program Manager 2 to plan and manage information technology (IT) programs/projects. Drive the schedule, logistics and overall program success of a Product Engineering Team. Communicate with design team, internal users, and customers to understand and define the diagnostic, debug, and validation tool software requirements. Work with functional technical leads to investigate project roadmaps and product technical documents to understand software impact. Translate these requirements/impacts into executable plans. Manage development plans to deliver on time and manage customer driven change requests and/or found tasks without impacting critical committed deliverables. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of the program and deliver reports and presentations to technical leadership and key stakeholders. Resolve ambiguity and adapts the teams to changes in a dynamic environment. Lead program budgeting and device expense planning. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results with little to no supervision.

Qualifications: Degree required
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 5 years of experience in job offered or as a Technical Lead, Technical Program Manager, Systems Engineer, or a related occupation.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in job offered or as a Technical Lead, Technical Program Manager, Systems Engineer, or a related occupation.
Specific skills required:
Position requires 3 years of experience in the following:
- Hardware and Software verification;
- SOC/System architecture, CPU architecture, and GPU architecture;
- Managing IT projects through entire product lifecycle;
- Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification
- Unix or Linux environments; and
- Perl, TCL, Python, or Shell;
