ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

We Are Northeast Ohio’s Premiere Medical Practice Dedicated To The Easy, Safe, And Effective Non-Surgical Treatment Of Hemorrhoids.

We are a well-established private medical office with locations in Beachwood and Fairlawn. Much of our success can be attributed to the incredible team and culture we have developed at our practice. We have created an environment where patients feel welcome and comfortable, despite the fact that our patients are often initially embarrassed or afraid to seek treatment for hemorrhoids.

Since opening our doors in 2007 we have treated many thousands of patients and we continue to grow. As a result, we are now offering you an opportunity to help us to continue that growth and provide an exceptional customer experience for our patients.

This position is for 5 days per week (Monday – Friday) and requires working at both of our locations on alternating days. We are in our Fairlawn office on Mondays and Wednesdays, and we are in our Beachwood office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will be able to work Fridays from home. No evenings or weekends.

SKILLS NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION

• Emotional Intelligence – The ability to anticipate unstated needs and understand patients’ emotional states to help you prevent patient drop-offs before they happen and work proactively to communicate care with all members of staff.
• Empathy – People in painful states often feel discouraged and feel doubt, especially if they’ve been let down by other healthcare providers. Your job is to relate and show our clients you understand their situation and how they feel so they feel confident in us as their trusted providers.
• Connection – We create strong relationships with our patients and recognize that they are people first and patients second, which means that we place heavy emphasis on making sure that their personal needs are met in the context of their medical care plan.
• Clear Communication – The ability to communicate clearly is fundamental to establishing trust and building relationships with patients. When communication breaks down and patient expectations are not clearly set, this may lead to misunderstandings and unhappy patients who may feel like they were misled.
• Dispute Resolution – An important part of creating an outstanding patient experience is having the ability to address any potential patient complaint or concern in a positive and helpful manner. You need to be comfortable enough with confrontation to be able to calm a patient down without becoming emotional or defensive, and resolve the concern in way that the patient feels heard and satisfied.
• Organization – We have created standard procedures to help ensure that all the tasks and responsibilities of this position can be efficiently completed in a systematic and methodical fashion, but this requires that you stay organized. You will need to complete all your daily tasks on time and also create follow up tasks, when indicated.
• Insurance Knowledge – You need to have a working knowledge of basic insurance terminology such as deductibles and copays, and understand how to calculate how much a patient’s out of pocket cost is expected to be.
• Computer Skills – We are a near-paperless office and rely heavily on user-friendly technology. You need to be comfortable working on computers and have a knack for intuitively understanding and quickly learning how to navigate new software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide A Great Customer Experience – Your number one job is to provide an unparalleled customer experience that surpasses patient expectations and forces them to tell all their friends about. You will do this by caring about each and every person that you interact with, creating strong and meaningful relationships, and creating a “wow” experience with every single interaction they have with us.
• Create Raving Fans – Our goal is to turn every patient that works with us into a lifelong fan.
• Make The Scheduling Process As Smooth As Possible For Patients – You will need to promptly call all patients requesting appointments, accurately collect and enter all required patient data into our systems, follow up to make sure that patient intake forms are completed on time, and so on. We have created procedures to ensure that these tasks are performed effectively, and you need to be comfortable with following these procedures.
• Prevent No Shows And Limit Drop Offs And Cancellations – You will be responsible for ensuring clients successfully complete their entire course of treatment. Having clients stop after a couple of sessions does not help us or them, so you job is to help them stay the course so they can achieve the best outcome. You will accomplish this by fostering trust in our practice, tracking and rescheduling missed appointments, etc.
• Coordinate Patient Care – You will be responsible for calling in prescriptions and scheduling follow-up care with other physicians, when necessary.
• Cross-Coverage – On an as-needed basis, you may be responsible for managing the front desk or helping manage patient flow in the office. This includes checking patients in and out for their appointments, collecting patient payments, taking vital signs, turning over exam rooms between patients, etc.
