Advance’s Corporate Marketing team is a strategic and dynamic team helping to drive Advance’s transformation by establishing the Advance brand as the premier customer-focused omnichannel auto parts retailer. The team will achieve this by bringing together innovative thinking and forward-looking programs in the areas of Advertising, Media, Social Media, Content Marketing, Creative & Design, and Customer Insights in support of Advance Auto Parts and its portfolio of brands (that includes DieHard, Advance Professional, CarQuest, Technet, WorldPAC, AutoParts International, among others).
We are looking for a Associate Manager, Social Media and Influencer Marketing to lead the planning and execution of our organic social media and influencer strategy. They will lead revamping our organic social media strategy while scaling our influencer marketing program.
Additionally, this person is responsible for taking a leadership role in Advance’s Social Media Center of Excellence. In addition to evolving the brand’s social media strategy this person will serve as the lead internal for social media consultant, consistently working cross functionally to ensure collaboration across our lines of businesses. This person will also be responsible for managing two junior social media specialists and vendor partners.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Social Media & Content Marketing and is based in Advance Auto Parts’ Raleigh, NC headquarters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner closely with the Sr. Manager of Social Media and Content Marketing to revamp the organic social media strategy and update the strategy as the industry evolves.
Provide oversight, strategy, and direction for the complete corporate social media ecosystem of Advance Auto Parts and its sub-brands, comprising 31+ active accounts and handles, while continuously driving to portfolio optimization, efficiency, and consistency.
Key member of the Social Media Center of Excellence
Serve as the steward of our enterprise social media guidelines that house global brand best practices on social.
Develop, launch, and build to scale an industry-relevant influencer program to partner with relevant personalities in the creation of original content and creative campaign and promotional programming.
Be responsible for maintaining the organic social media editorial calendar
Responsible for overseeing all social media copy
Regularly collaborate cross functionally with advertisement, ecommerce, HR, TA, Carquest, TechNet, and other AAP teams to ensure alignment across channels.
Oversee social media reporting.
Stay abreast of all social media platform and medium updates to ensure strategy remains current and feel empowered to bring new ideas to the table.
Manage two junior social media specialists
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Stay up to date on best practices in social media marketing
Demonstrate strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Be able to multitask with excellence and collaborate extensively in a heavily matrixed environment.
Have a minimum of 5 years of corporate social media experience for a large brand.
Have built and managed an influencer program with 50+ influencers
Be able to demonstrate experience working with multiple stakeholders across a large organization.
Has been a people manager for at least two years
Bring familiarity with tools like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and other enterprise tools, as well as standard productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office.)
Have managed a budget for a large team or program.
Ideal candidates have experience working at large companies and on known brands that regularly make significant investments in the areas of advertising and media. Retail experience and/or enthusiasm about the automotive space is a plus.
