The Opportunity – Senior Quality Engineer
This position works out of our Casa Grande, AZ location in the Abbott Nutrition Division. Casa Grande, Ariz., is one of six Abbott nutrition manufacturing plants in the U.S., with about half of its products exported around the world. What You’ll Work On
The Senior Quality Engineer is involved in all aspects of the manufacturing operation from assessing equipment needs, to documenting installation, qualification, and ongoing validation of equipment and processes. The Quality Engineer is also expected to assist in the identification and resolution of quality related issues and work with other areas to resolve issues.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:
Minimum 4+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing organization AND Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science (preferably Manufacturing, Engineering or other related disciplines)
Minimum of 4+ years in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on Quality.
Technical knowledge of food manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures.
Must have HACCP and PCQI certifications.
Knowledge of Statistical processes and requirements
4+ years’ experience /knowledge of Food Manufacturing, HACCP, FSMA regulations, Low Acid Food regulations, Infant Formula regulations, Aseptic processing and other requirements such as Kosher and Halal preferred.
4+ years working with statistical tools and problem solving.
Must have strong computer technical skills, data analysis.
Must be able to work and influence cross functional teams, self-motivated, design to solve problems and drive programs/teams to completion.
