Abacist Looking for Staff Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper at Remote Full Time

Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper – Fully Remote

Bookkeeping is like solving puzzles. We are growing so we need an experienced puzzle master to join our team at Abacist. Our puzzle master will be an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant. Abacist is a boutique Bookkeeping firm providing services to clients in multiple industries. As our part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant you will focus on providing bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll services to our clients. You will be responsible for providing superior customer service while engaging with multiple ongoing clients.

Remote work from your home! This is a part-time remote position for someone based in Washington State. Days will be Monday – Friday, with scheduled hours set between 8am to 5pm PT. The position will begin as a part-time employee scheduled 20 – 30 hours per week, with potential to increase hours.

Qualifications and Skills:

• BS or BA in Accounting or related field with 2+ years’ experience, or AA Accounting degree with 3+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as full charge bookkeeper
• Proficient Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• 2+ years QuickBooks Online experience
• Solid experience in bookkeeping processes of journal entries, month end balance sheet, bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll processing, and lots of AP & AR
• Knowledge of financial statement, balance sheet and income statement functions
• Bonus points if you are experienced with project-based bookkeeping for the construction industry and/or experience with Ajera software
• Strong communication skills are required. Fluent English – Speaking, Writing and Reading
• Professional demeanor and skilled at exercising sound judgment

Benefits:

Starting Rate is $21 – $25 per hour based on experience
