Host / Hostess Position

YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

• Receives and records guests dining reservations via online reservation system, and walk-in inquiries.

• Performs opening duties such as wiping station and windows.

• Opens the front door and greets guests with a smile and welcoming demeanor

• Provides guests with menus

• Assigns guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation (when volume dictates) so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.

• Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, or to respond to questions and complaints.

• Responds to inquiries via Resy platform.

• Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that the dining details are handled properly and customers concerns are addressed.

• Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.

• Informs patrons of establishment specialities and features.

• Checks restrooms for cleanliness and restock if necessary every 30 minutes

• Ensures that the General Store is stocked according to par levels; sells merchandise through the dedicated POS system.

• Closing, and side work duties

• Maintains a clean and sanitary station and uniform standards.

• Performing other duties as assigned by ownership, management, or supervisors.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Previous NYC restaurant experience, at least 1 year

• Available on weekends, days, nights and late nights

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Upbeat, positive, and friendly attitude

• Social perceptiveness skills

• Critical thinking skill

• Time management

• Judgement and decision making skills

• Must speak and understand english (multiple languages a plus)

• Legal authority to work in USA

• High School Diploma or equivalency
