Must Have:

• Able To Push Loaded Carts, Handle A Forklift And Be A Safe Driver

Job Description:

• Under the direction of the Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for the prompt delivery and pick-up of all Production related parts to and from local vendors, air express, and railway terminals.
• As occasion arises, make long distance trips to various cities and perform various other routine duties such as between plant pick-ups and deliveries, as requested by Supervisor.
• He / She must move all outgoing parts from Central Dispatch and load his/her vehicle, incoming parts will be delivered to Receiving and after being received he/she will be responsible for moving them into Receiving Inspection.
• He / She must be careful in the handling and transportation of all parts as most of them are in the final stage of completion and worth many dollars.
• He / She must be able to perform assigned tasks in the Materials Handling and Shipping function if he/she must wait while shipments or outside vendor parts are being prepared for delivery.
• The incumbent must have the initiative and the knowledge of the city to plan his/her scheduled pick-ups and deliveries in a minimum of time, he/she must also be conscientious and self-motivated as he/she must perform his/her routine tasks without immediate supervision.
• The incumbent has direct contact with vendors both local and out-of-town and at times must aid in expediting and relaying any information regarding turnaround time from vendor.
• Hard working self-starter ready to take direction but improve the process where he can. Needs clean driving record and needs to go through process to get certified to drive for us. Needs to be physically able to be on feet all day moving hardware.
• This job requires access to US export-controlled information.
