HGcomply Looking for Accountant at Remote Full Time

Description: Qualified candidate will perform moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: financial statements, tax returns, general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billings, and various other ad-hoc duties. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Must have a minimum of 4 years of significant experience and advanced knowledge of Excel. CPA and Public and Private Accounting experience required.

• Will this have the ability to be temp to perm? Yes, after 62 working days / @ 90 calendar day
• How many years exp are you looking for? 2-5 years
• Is financial exp a must? Yes, experience with hedge fund accounting & variety of asset types
• Degree required/type? Finance, Economics, Accounting
• Will position be a remote start or onsite? Hybrid

o If remote- will there be an opportunity to be 100% remote for the duration of the assignment? TBD

• Will the candidate be required to provide their own equipment? Yes – VDS session contractor uses their own equipment
• What are the top 3 skills that you’ll be looking for on a resume
• Experience in Fund of hedge funds preferred.
• Prior experience at an administrator/manager a plus.
• Proficient to advanced with MS excel

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Prior fund accounting or investment manager experience required

• Geneva experience a plus

* 2-5 years of experience required
* Hybrid schedule- two days a week in office
o Preference for person to be onsite in NY, will consider candidates that can sit at other BNYM locations

• Working with a team manager

o Shadowing a fund accountant to start

• One or two rounds of interviews

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $13.95 – $40.00 per hour
