Position Description:
Purpose
The Ocular Immunology and Angiogenesis Lab in the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking a Research Technologist I to use a variety of cellular, molecular, biochemical, and imaging in vitro and in vivo rodents and porcine model systems to study basic and translational research in the fields of ocular fibrotic and angiogenic diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and retinopathy of prematurity. Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
The candidate must have a basic understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the eye. Understanding of ocular disease; proficiency in ocular imaging and ocular emergencies is a plus. General knowledge of cellular and molecular biology techniques and working in a research laboratory.
