A hospital in Albequer, NM is seeking a full time, day shift Clinical Coordinator RN, HOPD Administration, LVAD Program. The Clinical Coordinator RN Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates, develops and implements the LVAD Program, in collaboration with the Advanced Heart Failure team.
Collaborates with all clinicians throughout the continuum of care to assess and analyze outcome data and promote quality LVAD outcomes.
Facilitates nursing and ancillary department education regarding LVAD.
Assists with education at community level including but not limited to external hospitals, EMS and referring physicians.
Works with medical staff on LVAD order set and protocol development within hospital.
Acts as the management representative for DNV-GL LVAD certification with responsibility for ensuring the requirements of the management system are implemented and maintained at LMC
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or to be currently enrolled in a BSN program
Five (5) years relevant experience of which three (3) years must have been in critical care unit. Relevant education and/or experience may be substituted in accordance to policy
Remains current on LVAD therapies, competencies and requirements for regulatory certification
Ability to show understanding of the care of the critically ill patient in disease processes, treatment, bedside nurse responsibilities, and care pathways.
Understanding of mechanical circulatory support devices.
Ability to evaluate and facilitate support for social needs of patient.
Is capable of high level, autonomous decision making at the highest level within scope of practice
Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire), BLS, and ACLS
