POSITION SUMMARY:
The Safety Companion I provides continuous observation and virtual surveillance of multiple patients at multiple sites. The Safety Companion I will verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at-risk behaviors; summon the nursing staff if the patient is engaging in harmful behaviors or requires assistance; while remaining knowledgeable and supportive of patient and institutional confidentiality and related hospital policies.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School/GED
- Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 1 year work experience in a service or health care industry
- Other requirements/information:
- Proven ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions Efficiency in multitasking, with the ability to prioritize simultaneous situations.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, with the ability to communicate compassionately and professionally with patients, using microphone and headset
