A leading financial and accounting agency is looking for a client-facing Controller to join their growing US team. This company has offices all over the world and works with startup, venture capital-backed, and high-growth companies. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading fashion and beauty brands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working across multiple clients in the fashion/apparel space, managing workflow to a team of staff accountants and bookkeepers, and providing reporting deliverables.
- Manage the Company’s accounting and internal controls functions.
- Work from client offices a couple of times a week.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Provide detailed variance analysis on P/L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, enforcing accountability, and initiating corrective actions.
- Commission reporting, Sales tax reporting
- Payroll oversight
- Team management
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an Accounting function with a retail, e- commerce company. (Fashion and Beauty preferred )
- Previous experience working as Consulting Controller for multiple clients
- Proven examples of identifying cost savings, ways the A/P process can be streamlined.
- Understanding of Inventory
- Experience on multiple software packages ideally Full Circle, Quick Books Online, Netsuite, Apparel Magic, Xero.
- Experience structuring accounting teams – managing staff accountants/bookkeepers
- Strong Communication Skills
LOCATION:
- This is a hybrid office role based in LA – You will be in the office, visiting clients, and working remotely as needed.
SALARY:
- Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
